Happy Halloween

Thanks, Ed! Did you carve those yourself? Is L.A. dressing up this year?

Murf - I did carve those myself. I figured L.A. is still too young to use the knife. She went trick or treating on Monday as Big Bird and dang she was cute. For some unfathomable reason, our police chief declared Friday as not safe for trick or treating. Tuesday and Thursday were parent teacher conferences at the school and Wednesday was deemed church night. That left only Monday. Every other city in the state is tonight when it is warm. Monday night was about 35 degrees during trick or treating and it got down to 22 degrees later in the night.

You carved those? Wow! That's a pretty good work there. This is my 3rd Halloween in Bend, and I still don't have any pumpkins. I don't even buy any candies this year.

R. Sherman - I forgot about that and I am a ex-Lutheran.

Mother Hen - Bend, Oregon heh. That isn't too far from The Dalles where my 3rd great uncle was a famous saddle maker. I've always wanted to get out there sometime. Oregon and Washington are the only two states west of the Mississippi I haven't visited.

Neat pumpkins. We're still working on ours. OBTW- the Dalles? Neat area. Used to go through there quite often, especially for the cherries. Now the whole Columbia Gorge region is a hotbed of windsurfing, concerts and other modern stuff. The Pendleton Roundup is a great time also!

Beau - I've heard that about The Dalles area before. From my research, it was a real wild area during the time of my 3rd great uncle.

Ah you know Bend OR!!! Yes Bend is such a neat town. If you and your wifey ever make it here, let me know, I'll take you to my playground, ie the whole cascade range :)

Nice pumpkins--I need to get my pumpkin pic up, but we've had company the past two days... Halloween was warm here, normally it's cold and wet, one only needed a light jacket

I like the one-eyed pumpkin.

Mother Hen - I had to google Bend. I do know The Dalles only from research. I would like to visit it sometime and perhaps we could swing by to see your "playground" and eat some curry.

Sage - I saw your pumpkin. Glad it wasn't me carving it because it looked like it took some time.

Geri - Thanks!
