Hershey's New Scam

Hershey's Air Delight
Am I the only one looking at this ad and seeing a way for Hershey to put less chocolate in their product while keeping the same pricing structure? The bar in this picture contains 1.4 grams of chocolate while the regulation Hershey milk chocolate bar contains 4 grams. That is a 65% reduction in the amount of chocolate per candy bar.  I'm sure some board room full of management material in Pennsylvania got hefty bonuses for thinking of this gem of an idea. I hope this one is more of a flop than New Coke.

I haven't seen them yet (but I try to stay away from the candy aisles these days). They can sell it as being more healthy when it's really about cutting cost!

i haven't seen them up here in canada yet but you can bet that i won't be buying any. and this seems to be the way that alot of companies are going - producing smaller serving sizes and upping the price. i hope it fails!

I grew up with this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_%28chocolate%29

was made by Roundtree in York.

It's another way of camouflaging inflation, like 14.5 ounces of coffee in a one pound can.

Cheers.

I have tried them and they are awesome. The way the chocolate melts in your mouth is heavenly. :-)

Just saw the commercial for the first time, and the very first thought that popped into my noggin' was, "what a scam!"
